Notes
Installation
- Download and save the self-extracted file into an empty folder, and then extract the file.
- Install the extracted software referring readmeap.txt.
To customers who use the older version of the driver
You cannot update or additionally install the driver Ver1.6.5 and older on Windows Vista®, Windows Server® 2008, and Windows® 7.
You need to uninstall the older version before installing the new one.
Below shows the Uninstallation procedure for your uninstallation.
Uninstallation procedure
- Go to [Start] > [Control Panel] and select [Printers] in [Hardware and Sound].
- Delete the printer icon in [Printers] folder.
- Right click in [Printers] folder, and select [Run as administrator] to display [Print Server Properties].
- Select the driver to delete from [Drivers] tab, and click [Remove].
- Select [Remove driver and driver package.] and click [OK].
- To uninstall all the drivers, repeat (2) to (5) until all the printersNote1 are replaced from the [Driver] tab in [Print Server Propoerties] .

Cautions for using this driver
It is required to enable SNMP setting on the printer. To enable SNMP, use Print
Services on WebNote2 of DocuWide 6050 / 6050MF / 6030MF /
3030 / 3030MF / 2055 / 2055MF printer and set the followings:

Setting SNMP by Print Services on Web
- Start Microsoft® Internet Explorer 6.x, and enter the URL of the printer (http://host
name or IP address) and press [Enter]. Print Services on Web top page is displayed.
- Click [Administrator page] button. Enter user name and password on the dialog
box, and click [OK]. For the user name and password, please ask the system administrator.
- Click [Properties] tab, and select [SNMP].
- Check on [Enable] of [SNMP], click [Apply] button, and power off and on the
printer. This completes SNMP setting.
Setting SNMP by CentreWare Insternet Services
- Start Microsoft® Internet Explorer 6.x or 7.x, and
enter the URL of the printer (http://host name or IP address) and press
[Enter]. CentreWare Insternet Services top page is displayed.
- Click [Login] button. Enter user ID and password on the dialog box,
and click [OK]. For the user ID and password, please ask the system
administrator.
- Click [Properties] tab, and select [Port Status] in [Network Settings].
- Check on [Enable] of [SNMP], click [Apply] button, and power off and on the printer. This completes SNMP setting.

Restrictions
- Plotter firmware version
For printing from the Windows® driver, plotter firmware of the following version is necessary:
- DocuWide 6050/6050MF/6030M (hereinafter referred to as DW6050/6050MF/6030MF): Any version
*Except for the following function:
-Designate a tray (supported by Version 2.1.30 or later)
- DocuWide 3030/3030MF/6055/6055MF/2055/2055MF (hereinafter referred to as DW3030/3030MF/6055/6055MF/2055/2055MF): Any version

- Print by DocuWorks
To print the scanned image by
DW2050MF/DW6050MF/DW6030MF/DW3030MF/DW6055MF/2055MF, refer to the following procedures.
- DocuWorks version
-DocuWorks English Version 6.0 or later
- How to print by DocuWorks 6
- Select a printer.
- Click on Properties and select output media size.
- To print image according to the selected size of the media, check [Fit to Paper Size].
- Click on OK and print.
- How to print by DocuWorks 7
- Select a printer.
- Press Detailed Settings in a dialog, and check [Fit to [original size] ]and [Print in the user-defined paper size]. This setting allows the image scanned by DocuWorks 6 and former applications in smaller size and the non-standard size images to automatically output in the original sizes.
- Press OK and print the image.
- Note:
- To reduce A3 and larger sizes automatically to A3, set the above settings, and then click [Properties...]. Select [Reduce large document to A3] for [Output Size].
- Click Properties when you make settings of the finisher and +1C.
- To select the output media size explicitly, check [Fit to paper size] in [Detailed Settings].
You can set the document and media size in Properties.
- [Windows Security] or [User Account Control] screen may pop up when installing the driver to Windows Vista®,Windows® 7 installed computer. Continue installation in this case, as there is no functional problem after installation.
- In order to delete the driver entirely from Windows Vista®,Windows® 7,
perform the following procedures to delete both driver and driver
package. Please note that execution of driver uninstall tool does not
delete the driver package.
- Go to [Start] > [Control Panel] and select [Printers] in [Hardware and Sound].
- Delete the printer icon in [Printers] folder.
- Right click in [Printers] folder, and select [Run as administrator] to display [Print Server Properties].
- Select the driver to delete from [Drivers] tab, and click [Remove].
- Select [Remove driver and driver package.] and click [OK].
- Restart the computer.
- [Windows Help and Support] screen may pop up when attempting to activate online help on Windows Vista®,Windows® 7 computer. In this case, the help is not available. To resolve this problem, refer to the Microsoft support website.
- There is a case that screen image and print result may be different when printing from Microsoft® 2007 Office system.
- In the case of Word 2007 / PowerPoint® 2007 / Excel® 2007, print results may be improved by setting print mode to high quality or changing printer property setting.
- In the case of Word 2007 / PowerPoint® 2007 / Excel® 2007, part of object may be printed with different tone reproduction,
or unnecessary lines may appear on some objects. Refer to Microsoft
support website for the detail of this phenomenon.
- In the case of PowerPoint® 2007 / Excel® 2007, object shade effect may not be printed. Refer to Microsoft
support website for the detail of this phenomenon. In this case,
changing print mode to high quality may improve the problem. Refer to
the description below on how to set the print mode to high quality.

- Click [Microsoft Office] button at the top left side of PowerPoint® window, and go to [Print] menu and select [Print].
- Check on [High quality] at [Print] dialog, and then click [OK].
- How to set print mode to [High Quality] with Excel® 2007
- Click [Microsoft Office] button at the top left side of Excel® window, and select [Excel Options] button.
- Select [Advanced] at the left side menu of [Excel Options] dialog.
- Check on [High quality mode for graphics] and click [OK].
