<Xdom>

To manage high volume data for distributed printing on a network, Fuji Xerox has launched a document portal management system called Xdom (cross dom). Xdom includes Xdom Server Software that has the capability of connecting up to 20 scanners (Xdom Scanner 500) and 300 DocuCentres* (CP type) on a network. Sales will begin in January 2001. The Xdom system allows users to efficiently manage their paper and digital documents for distribution on a network. With the Xdom Server Software, paper documents, which are scanned into a database at high quality, are then compressed and stored in a database, to be reproduced on-demand from the most suitable DocuCentre machine. Users can print a scanned document or other documents in its database at anytime, through a simple operation from the Xdom Scanner 500's touch panel display.

• Xdom Server (Windows NT Server 4.0^**) monitors the status of the machine and consumables and directs print jobs to the most suitable machine. Users can check the status on the touch display panel of the Xdom Scanner 500, or from their client PC
• Web Xdom software (optional) enables users to print directly from the Web.
• Xdom Scanner 500-scans at 52 ppm with a resolution of 600 dpi (monochrome A4 long edge feed)
• High productivity copying function-machine can scan and print simultaneously so efficient for large volume copying. Distributes and prints at the same time thus reducing print out time.
• Automatic or selectable print balancing across machines
• Prints out a sample print before starting a print job
• Automatic scheduling of print jobs
• Three copy modes available-using Xdom Server Software, user can choose copy mode, or when using the scanner, users can select server save mode, or copy print mode/server save mode together
• Supports printing of PDF and DocuWorks files on demand via the network.
• The machines uses Internet Imaging by Xerox new document platform
