Achieving an energy consumption level less than half
of their predecessors, Fuji Xerox's DocuCentre 707/607/507 series
comprise a total of 12 models with print capabilities of 70 ppm,
60 pmm, and 50 ppm (A4 long-edge feed) respectively. The six DocuCentre
707/708/607/608/507/508 copying function models will begin sales
from January 10, 2002, and the six DocuCentre multifunction models
(copying machine, printer and scanner) including the 707CP/708CP/607CP/608CP/507CP/508CP,
will begin sales in late January.
The DocuCentre 707/607/507 series, which incorporate
a newly developed Roller-in-Roller fusing system*,
has a reduced machine warm up time of just 30 seconds. Models with
a copy speed of 50 ppm and 60 ppm use just 80 wh/h, an energy savings
of 65 percent over their predecessors, while the 70 ppm (A4 long-edge
feed) models use just 125 wh/h, a 53 percent of energy reduction.
This is the highest energy savings level for a machine of its class.
The series with a high-speed scanner and printer function**
can print at speeds of up to 75 ppm (A4 long-edge feed) with the
DADF. When connected to the network***,
the user can automatically send a scanned document as an e-mail
attachment to a PC by registering its e-mail address, and register
the scanned document on the server. This procedure requires no additional
software and the document can be easily stored and distributed.
Combined with the optional DADF, the DocuCentre 707/607/507
series can sort copies electronically without requiring a mechanical
sorter. It has an optional finisher with puncher for high productivity
printing, making it ideal as a core network printer.
*The Roller-in-Roller fusing system unit consists
of a heat roller and an inner roller in the outer roller (paper
roll), hence Roller-in-Roller. The heat roller itself is just 1/10
the thickness of the previous roller (or 0.5mm) to reduce energy
consumption. The use of the inner roller enables the heat roller
to maintain the heat pressure applied to the paper to achieve high-quality
images.

Models are fully recyclable and environmental friendly: The products
clear the higher internal standard for the proportion of reused parts
and recycled parts in one machine in the manufacturing process.

Low-noise design: the fan is installed on the bottom of the machine
so that it is out of contact with the user, adding to the machine is
low noise design.
Chrome-free steel case: The machines use a completely chrome-free
steel case for increased durability and reduced environmental impact.

FCOT: Just 2.7* seconds (A4 long-edge
feed) and 3 seconds when using DADF, the fastest level for a copying
machine (as of December 5, 2001). *2.8 seconds for multifunction machine
Reads at a high speed of 75 ppm (A4 long edge feed) using the DADF,
which increases document efficiency.
Scan while copying: a user can set the next document on the platen
and the machine will read the sheet to be copied, while another document
is being copied.

[Printer/Scanner]
High-speed network scanner: The network scanner scans documents at
75 ppm (A4 long-edge feed and when printing at 200 dpi/300/400 dpi)
and boasts high print productivity.
The CPU incorporates a PowerPC processor MPC8240 (200 MHz) for printing
high volume documents at fast speeds of up to 70 ppm.
Mailbox function for scanned documents: scanned documents can be sent
to PCs and servers or stored in the machine to be viewed from users'
PC.
