DocuPrint C830 Receives Eco Mark Certification

January 10, 2002

The DocuPrint C830 color laser print received Eco Mark certification from the Japan Environment Association. This certification brings the number of models to receive Eco Mark certification to 99 in total.

Products that receive the Eco Mark comply with the following two main criteria

  1. The products have less environmental impact than similar machines in their manufacturing, usage and waste.
  2. The products can reduce the negative environmental impact caused by factors other than use, and can be safely recommended to consumers for their environmental soundness.

On October 1, 2002, The Japan Environment Association redrafted its 38 criteria for printers including the machine must meet the 3R design specifications (reduce, reuse and recycle). In addition, the machine batteries should not contain any cadmium, lead or mercury, nor contains these chemicals in its photo conductor.

The DocuPrint C830 prints at 8ppm in color and 35 ppm in monochrome (A4 long-edge feed). The machine incorporates image processing technology DACS (Digital Analog Complementary Screen) and has a high-speed CPU 64 bit RISC TMPR4927-200MHz in its controller. The machine achieves high-quality prints equivalent to 600 x 19,200 dpi.
