The DocuWide 6050 Series

Fuji Xerox has introduced the DocuWide 6050 Series that achieves the highest print quality for A0 multifunction devices in the world. The DocuWide 6050 series comprises three machines: the DocuWide 6050MF digital multifunction device with copying machine, scanner and plotter, the DocuWide 6050EC digital copying machine, and the DocuWide 6050 stand-alone plotter. Sales begin late March.

The conveniently sized DocuWide series provides a solution for users who work with various-sized documents including CAD drawings. Using Fuji Xerox's DocuWorks as well as DW-Scan 2 Service with the DocuWide 6050MF multifunction machine, users can manage their drawings in an electronic database to increase their document management efficiency.

• The DocuWide 6050MF and the DocuWide 6050EC have a 0.8 m² footprint.
  The machines are the world's first A0 machines that can be stacked or separated. A user can configure the machines so the scanner is on top of the printer or so the printer and the scanner are separated. The series adopts a universal design that allows easy access for all users.
• Fine print quality at 600 dpi x 1,200 dpi (A0 size) the world's highest resolution for an A0-sized machine as of January 1, 2002. The series adopts 6.4 micron toner to produce fine lines and high quality company headers and logos.
• High productivity:

  	FCOT: within 23 seconds (A0 size) and first plot time is within 30.5 seconds. The DocuWide 6050 series has a continuous copying /plotting speed of A0 size: 5 ppm, A1 (long-edge feed): 9 ppm, A2: 12 pp, A3: 16 ppm, A4: 20 ppm
  	Short warm up time: The machine's toner fusing unit contains a newly developed thin roller fuser to achieve a fast three-minute warm up time with a 100V/20A power supply. (improved from the BrainTech 8030 series that achieves a warm up time of 12 minutes).

• Long printing: Users can choose to make long prints from three different models: the 2-roll model, a 4-roll model or 2-roll/2-tray model. Users can print up to 7.5m in A0 size or, with the optional memory of 1GB, can print up to 15m (final length is determined by the printer driver).
• Paper folder for folding A0 documents into A4 for storage (available for both the DocuCentre 6050MF and the DocuWide 6050EC)
• DocuWide 6050MF and DocuWide 6050EC--both machines have an operation display panel and a separate display that is specifically used for selecting paper and paper cutting
• 800 pages electronic sorter sorts forwards or backwards order on three modes: standard sort, program sort, and multi-job sort (optional)
