Fuji Xerox has launched two inkjet printers, the WorkCentre
B900 and the network-compatible WorkCentre B900N to meet the needs
of the office market. Both models are A3 full-bleed printers capable
of print speeds up to 10.9 ppm (A4 short-edge feed) in the high-speed
color mode. Domestic sales begin on July 23, 2002.
The WorkCentre B900/B900N adopts a 1-inch inline head
that moves back and forth only five times to print an A4 sheet.
Both models also incorporate D-Raster--high-speed image processing
technology with an integrated high-performance controller and image-processing
chip allowing the WorkCentre B900/B900N to achieve fast print speeds
of 10.9 ppm in color and 11.7 ppm in monochrome in the high-speed
mode (7.1 ppm in color and 8.8 ppm in monochrome in standard mode).
Additionally, the cost of consumables in the high-speed mode can
be kept to a low 5 yen per sheet in color and 1.5 yen per sheet
in monochrome, excluding the cost of the paper.

of 28 seconds or less
Incorporates automatic ink-refill system:Ink is supplied automatically
to the head cartridge from a sub-ink cartridge when the head cartridge
runs low of ink.
High image resolution: 3,200 x 1,600 dpi
High quality prints: uses fast-drying, high-density black-pigment
ink developed by Fuji Xerox
CentreWareTM Internet Services
with EWS (Embedded Web Server [optional for WorkCentre B900]): Users
can monitor printer and print job status by specifying the IP address
of the WorkCentre B900N.
