Fuji Xerox Launches DocuCentre Color 240 CP

Fuji Xerox has launched an advanced color digital multifunction device, the DocuCentre Color 240 CP, which achieves print speeds of up to 13 ppm in color and 24 ppm in black and white. Sales began on September 20.

The DocuCentre Color 240 CP uses EA (Emulsion Aggregation) toner to produce an oil-less silky finish that can be easily annotated with a pen or self-adhesive notes as well as produce sharp black text and natural-looking photos by increasing the clarity of fine lines while reducing glossiness. In addition, the model incorporates a micro tandem laser engine and intermediate belt transfer, both of which enable high-speed color printing.

The environmental friendly DocuCentre Color 240 CP complies with the Law on Promoting Green Purchasing as well as the International Energy Star Program, and is also labeled as a Fuji Xerox's Resource-Recycling Product.

• Continuous copy speed: 13 ppm (color) and 24 ppm (black and white) (A4 long-edge feed)
• First Copy Output Time: 4.7 seconds (black and white), 10.4 seconds (color) (A4 long-edge feed)
• Machine warm-up time: 45 seconds
• Concurrent Processing: The machine can read a document for copying or scanning or send a fax while printing.
  (Requires optional extension box and an additional 128 MB of memory.)

• High resolution: processes color at 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi and output resolution of 600 dpi x 600 dpi in 16.7 million colors.
• Network connectivity: 100Base-TX/10Base-T interface (standard) as well as TCP/IP, NetWare, EtherTalk^®, and NetBEUI multiprotocols.
• Multiclient environments: Windows^® 95/98/Me/XP, Windows^® 2000, Windows NT^® 4.0 and Mac^® OS (Kanji Talk 7.5.3-9.2) with optional PostScript^®.
• Security print: Users can store information in the machine and print from the control panel at the touch of a button.

• A3-capable color network scanner: Scans documents up to 600 dpi.
  Users can select from 200, 300, 400 and 600 dpi resolutions.
• Scans data to all Windows^® 95/98/Me/XP, Windows NT^® 4.0, Windows^® 2000 Twain compatible applications via a network.
• Automatically scans a wide range of print stock, with automatic magnification functions. Using the DADF, users can scan various size, A3, B4, and A4, as one size.
• Scan to E-mail^*1: send scanned color documents by e-mail in a specified file format (JPEG, TIFF, XDW^*2, PDF^*3).

• Super G3/JBIG fax transmission of 2 seconds. Reads A4 size (long-edge feed) at 1.88 seconds or 32 ppm.
• Internet Fax: Users can receive or send a scanned fax as an e-mail attachment via the Network environment. (Requires optional Internet fax kit.)
