To meet user needs in the fast-changing digital publishing industry, Fuji Xerox launched the Color DocuTech 60 V, a color on-demand publishing system that is capable of processing a large of volume data at high speed. Sales began on June 5, 2003.

The Color DocuTech 60 V employs EFI's newest Fiery EXP6000 color server incorporating 2.2GHz Intel® XeonTM processor, which enables the machine to handle a large of volume data at lickety-split speeds. The machine also boasts enhanced performance with a Variable Print function that enables unique printing per customer, advanced function that realizes easier booklet creation, and user adjustment function for more flexible quality maintenance by user.
 
Main features
 

  • Improved on-demand print productivity: capable of outputting heavy paper at 45 ppm (A4 long-edge feed) and high-speed RIP processing of a large of volume data by incorporating EFI's newest Fiery EXP6000 color server with ultra high-speed CPU.

  • Increased print quality stability: modified Hiper Registration technology and registration mechanism to double the front-back registration accuracy compared to the predecessor, Color DocuTech 60, and modified I-TRACS (Intelligent Tone Reproduction Auto Correction System) technology to suppress variation in density when printing large print jobs.

  • Full-scale Variable Print function: Color DocuTech 60 V's EXP6000 color server supports FreeForm2 and Variable Print Specification (VPS) in addition to FreeForm. This enables dynamic Variable Print processing with images as well as text included in the variable data.

  • Connectivity: 10 Base-T, 100 Base-TX, AppleTalk®, TCP/IP, NetWare (IPX/SPX), SMB multiprotocols.

  • Built-in external media device: MO drive (640 MB) and DVD-ROM drive.

  • Options: scanner kit with DADF capable of scanning 40 pages per minute (A4, long-edge feed), staple stacker capable of binding a maximum of 40 sheets, and two additional front-loading trays for regular or coated paper, enabling the machine to continuously output a maximum of 8,400 sheets using the automatic tray switching function.
