Fuji Xerox Printing Systems Co., Ltd. (FXPS) has newly developed an A4 monochrome laser printer, the DocuPrint 187A. Shipments of the new printer are scheduled to start on January 29 in Japan.

The new compact designed DocuPrint 187A enables high speed printing at 18 pages per minute (ppm) and 1200dpi-class resolution output. Three interfaces are equipped as standard (network interface, USB and parallel interface) as well as automatic duplex printing.

    Without sacrificing printing speed, the DocuPrint 187A provides 1200 dpi-class output when using Image Enhancement. This enables the crisp reproduction of fine lines and small characters as will as smooth curves.

  3. Three Standard Interfaces

    Three standard interfaces are available (Ethernet 100BASE-TX/10BASE-T, USB2.0 and Parallel).

  4. Excellent Print Quality

    In addition to the Windows® environment (Windows® 95/98/Me/2000/XP, Windows NT® 4.0), users can also operate in the Mac OS® environment via EtherTalk®,

  5. Versatile Paper Handlings in a Compact Design

    In a compact design, the new printer incorporates an automatic duplex printing mechanism, which can save paper consumption and as well as a standard 300-sheet capacity (250-sheet paper tray and 50-sheet multi-purpose tray). A second 250-sheet paper tray is optionally available.
