Fuji Xerox has acquired the operations of Reprography and Consultants, Ltd., (Repro) a consolidated subsidiary of Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (IHI) that provides a variety of copy services. The new entity, named Xworks Co., Ltd., commenced operations on April 1, 2004 as a Fuji Xerox wholly owned subsidiary.
Fuji Xerox is a provider of document outsourcing services, and has been offering document management and processing services as well as comprehensive document management services for large-scale corporations.
To further strengthen its document outsourcing service, Fuji Xerox incorporated Repro, which boasts vast experience in the area, into its subsidiary. This will allow the company to provide even higher quality services to its customers. In particular, Fuji Xerox has absorbed Repro's extensive know-how related to copy services for large engineering organizations. This has contributed to the development and enhancement of its service menu for the manufacturing industry, enabling Fuji Xerox to provide an even higher degree of added value.
The close relationship between Xworks and the document outsourcing organization at Fuji Xerox and Fuji Xerox affiliates will help yield maximum synergistic effects. This will aid in the realization of Fuji Xerox's business vision, Open Office Frontier, which offers customers a new work style.
