Fuji Xerox has developed the DocuCentre 185 / 155, popularly-priced, compact black and white digital multifunction machines that incorporate copy as well as optional fax, printer and scanner functions. Sales will begin on September 14, 2004.
The DocuCentre 185 / 155 achieve print speeds of 18 ppm and 15 ppm, respectively, in black and white (A4 long-edge feed). The use of Emulsion Aggregation (EA) toner ensures high resolution quality at 600 dpi, enabling precise reproduction of text and photos. The space-saving wingless design allows the duplex printing unit to be incorporated between the body and the manual feeder, thus enabling trayless duplexing.
In addition to the desktop model, users can add a tray module stand and use it as a desk-side machine. The four paper trays can handle up to 1,850 sheets for large print jobs. Standard accounting function allows restrictions for copy, fax and scan print and volume limitations for copy and print.
