Fuji Xerox Printing Systems Co., Ltd. (FXPS) has newly developed two A3-capable black and white laser printers, the DocuPrint 405/505, which are scheduled to be launched on September 22 in Japan.

The DocuPrint 405/505 are both optimized for batch printing of high volume documents, with print speeds of up to 40 pages per minute (ppm) and 50 ppm respectively, and have maximum paper input tray capacity of 5,100 sheets and output tray capacity of 4,000 sheets.

1. High Speed Printing
   The new powerful engine is designed to print documents quickly at print speeds of up to 40 ppm for the DocuPrint 405 and up to 50 ppm for the DocuPrint 505.

2. High Capacity Paper Input and Output
   To reduce paper replenishing time, both printers are equipped with a standard paper input tray capacity of 1,100-sheet and output tray capacity of 500-sheet, while options can be added for a maxmum paper input tray capacity of 5,100-sheet and output tray capacity of 4,000-sheet. “Load While Run” enables paper to be replenished without interrupting a job. As an advanced option, the finisher allows the ability of stapling and/or punching holes.

3. A Variety of Security Printing Features
   To prevent the leakage of confidential information, both printers can encrypt print jobs. Stored print jobs, which are archived in the printer's optional hard disk drive, can be erased all at once.

4. Excellent Print Quality
   Without sacrificing printing speed, both provide true 1,200dpi output, while Image Enhancement enables the crisp reproduction of fine lines and small characters as well as smooth curves.

5. Three Standard Interfaces
   Three standard interfaces (Ethernet 100BASE-TX/10BASE-T, USB1.1 and Parallel) are available, while USB2.0 is optionally available.
