Fuji Xerox Launches Able 1406 Lambda Series

Fuji Xerox will release three new digital multifunction machines onto the market on October 15, 2004. The basic model in this series, the Able 1406 Lambda, achieves print speeds of up to 40 ppm (A4 long-edge feed) and accommodates A2-size paper. Next in the series, the Able 1406 Lambda Model-D, incorporates an auto duplex copy function, while the Able 1406 Lambda Model-P features printer and scanner functions.

In addition to incorporating A2-size copy and printer functions^Note1, which are capable of reproducing both black and red images, the Able 1406 Lambda series can also send and receive A2-size faxes^Note2. An A2 network scanner function^Note1 is optionally available. A finisher (stapler and two-hole puncher)^Note2 completes the package for an all-around, efficient copy operation.

The series complies with the Green Procurement Law and International Energy Star Program, and has been awarded Eco Mark certification from the Japan Environment Association.

High-resolution copying at 600 dpi and 256 shades of gray, enabling sharp copies of fine text and images, including photos to detailed drawings.
Continuous copy speed: 40 ppm (A4 long-edge feed), capable in both simplex and duplex; 14 ppm (A2).

Capable of storing copy, print, fax and scanner jobs on the internal hard disk; control the status, check job history and confirm sent and received faxes via the Web Image Monitor without installing additional software onto the PC; and view and print stored documents in the "document box."

Simplifies mundane finishing jobs such as sorting, stapling and hole-punching through automatic operation, thereby improving office productivity.
Paper tray: can stack maximum 2,000 sheets (e.g. 20 sheets x 100 copies); no restriction on the number of bins as with conventional sorter/staplers.
