Fuji Xerox has launched a new series of digital black and white multifunction machines, the DocuCentre f1100 / f900 / a1100 / a900, which achieve high productivity print speeds of 110/90 ppm (A4 long-edge feed), making them ideal for anyone from departmental users to professional use, such as at specialized print centers. Sales begin on December 1.

The automatic trayless duplex function achieves a maximum speed of 110 ppm (A4 long-edge feed) for both printing and copying in simplex and duplex. In addition, the newly developed duplex automatic document feeder (DADF) can scan document with 1 pass both sides scan, thereby reducing handling of documents. The DADF handles up to 250 sheets at a time at 100 ppm (simplex, A4 long-edge feed). In addition to handling A3 oversize and thick paper duplex prints, the finisher simplifies all of the various post-process jobs automatically. The machines therefore cater to a wide spectrum of needs that include large volume jobs.

• Can output the same document at a later date simply by storing it in the "reprint box." Electronic documents created in different applications can be saved together here as print files.
• When saving print jobs to the machine's hard disk, the user can select box function^Note with the print type on the PC.
  Note: Cannot save print and copy jobs simultaneously. Only images can be stored.
  

• Maximum capacity of 8,050 sheets (80gsm) up to 216gsm provides a variety of paper handling.
• Duplex copying can handle up to 216g/m², not only from original trays but also can make duplex copy from Multi Sheet Inserter.
• Handling of heavy stock of up to 253g/m² in the manual feed tray
• Can print A3 oversize (13x19 inches) from third, fourth and manual feed trays, enabling the printing/copying of crop marks to enhance accuracy.

• Finisher type can be selected from Staple Finisher or Booklet Finisher up to customer's requirements.
• The Stapling finisher provides Stacking, Punch, and stapling of up to 100 pages.
• The Booklet finisher provides bi-folding, booklet creation in addition to stacking, punching and stapling of up to 100pages.
• Inserter available with either of the above finishers
  The machines can insert pre-printed color sheets, thick paper, index stock and other heat-sensitive materials as covers or dividers without harming to paper by bypassing the fuser mechanism.
• Optional Z-Fold unit provides various folding additional to above finisher function. The Z-fold unit can be equipped on both staple finisher and booklet finisher.
• With the Z-fold unit, customers can create different size documents such as A3 and A4 in the same size by z-folding an A3-size document and inserting it in to an A4-size report and stapling it together.
• Also with optional Z-fold unit, A4/letter-size paper can be tri-folded into C-fold or Z-fold to create mailer documents. This will reduce the time required for manual work and the need for a specialized folding machine.

• Scanner can be used as 600dpi black & white scanner for any office scanning needs.
• Scanned documents can be converted to PDF, XDW or TIFF format for further use.
• Data can be registered under a job flow function, transferred via SMB or FTP and sent as an e-mail attachment, so documents need only be scanned once. Up to 1,000 jobs can be registered at any one time (only available with DocuCentre f1100 / f900 series).

• Encoded printing: when sending data from a PC, the communication pathway can be encoded to prevent unauthorized access and information leaks (only available with DocuCentre f1100 / f900 series).
• Encrypts data when storing to hard disk (optional); data can be constantly overwritten and erased, or erased at once when specified^Note.
