Fuji Xerox Launches
Xerox Graphic Arts
Premier Partners Program
For Asia Pacific

Driving Regional Enterprises to Flourish
in the Dynamic Graphic Arts Business
December 6, 2004

Fuji Xerox, the leading provider of document and knowledge management solutions and production services, today announced the expansion of the Xerox Graphic Arts Premier Partners Program to the Asia-Pacific region. The Program, introduced in Europe and the United States in 2000, is aimed at offering added value for graphic arts communications enterprises through global knowledge-sharing, networking opportunities, tools and resources.

Through the Xerox Graphic Arts Premier Partners Program, Fuji Xerox is committed to help members keep abreast of the latest trends, as well as address their business challenges such as adding new revenue streams, expanding their services, increasing profit and improving process efficiencies.

"It is a worldwide community of more than 340 leading digital print providers including many industry's pioneers," said Hiroshi Kurihara, corporate vice president of Fuji Xerox. "The program gives members opportunities to grow their business through a global network of printers equipped with the latest digital technologies."

In the midst of globalisation, more communication, faster job turnaround, shorter print runs, and advanced knowledge are required to meet and forecast customers' needs as well as to beat fierce competition. In addition to this wave of globalisation, the graphic arts industry has been experiencing another seismic change: digital transition. The key challenge is to obtain expertise and know-how in areas such as business management, marketing, sales and technical operations that are effective amid the new trends.

"This program is beneficial for both our customers and Fuji Xerox," said Abby Abhyankar, vice president, Production Services Business Group, Fuji Xerox. "By providing the best graphic arts practitioners in the Asia-Pacific region with opportunities to share knowledge and develop relationships, we can also tap on their advanced expertise and know-how, hone our digital printing skills and then pass them on to our customers. This is the new business of printing which makes us grow together."

Since its launch in 2000 at Drupa, one of the world's largest trade shows for the printing and paper industries, the Xerox Worldwide Premier Partner Program has been enjoying great success in attracting members, with more than 340 enterprises worldwide. Members of the Xerox Graphic Arts Premier Partners Program are using black-and-white and/or colour digital printers and are leaders in fields such as personalization, direct marketing, books as well as managing complex web applications to meet their customers' demands for print, document management and fulfillment services.

The Asia-Pacific launch of the Xerox Graphic Arts Premier Partners Program is another sign that Fuji Xerox is fully committed to the emerging trend of digital printing. This announcement comes soon after the opening of the latest Fuji Xerox Executive Print Innovation Center (epicenter) in Singapore in November.

Established to facilitate industry interaction and the co-development of solutions with Fuji Xerox customers, the Singapore epicenter is the third of four epicenters in the Asia-Pacific region, after similar installations in Sydney and Tokyo. The fourth epicenter, to be located in Shanghai, is scheduled to open early 2005.
