| Fuji Xerox Printing Systems Launches Four New Color Laser Printers |
Fuji Xerox Printing Systems Co., Ltd. (FXPS) has strengthened its DocuPrint lineup with four new color laser printers, the DocuPrint C3540, C3140, C2424 and C525 A.
The DocuPrint C3540, C3140 and C2424 are all A3-capable, and enable high speed color printing at 35 pages per minute (ppm) 31ppm and 24ppm respectively. The C525 A is a low-priced, compact A4-color laser printer with color print speeds of up to 5 ppm.
The C3540 and C3140 are based on the same engine platform, and can produce higher output quality with the newly developed chemically grown “EA-HG (Emulsion Aggregation-High Grade) toner.” The C2424 achieves a fast warm-up of 30 seconds or less and a first-print-out of 11 seconds or less as well as 24ppm color printing speed. All three A3-capable printers incorporate advanced features for printing security. The C525 A can print black and white documents at a quick 25ppm. |

| Major Features of the DocuPrint C3540/C3140 |

Higher Productivity
With new tandem color laser engines that incorporate an Intermediate Belt Transfer, Free Belt Nip Fuser and new powerful print controller, the C3540 and C3140 can print color/black and white documents at high speeds of up to 35/45 ppm for the C3540 and up to 31/40 ppm for the C3140. In addition, both printers achieve high productivity at prints speeds of up to 28ppm, 17ppm for two-sided* color prints, and a first print output time of 11 seconds or less and warm-up time of 45 seconds or less.
*: Two-sided print model is opitionally available.

Higher Quality Output
True 1,200 dpi resolution and 256 shades of gray enable high quality reproduction of light colors or halftones. The new EA-HG (Emulsion Aggregation-High Grade) toner provides better halftones and shaper lines for photo printing.

Higher Paper Capacity
To reduce paper replenishing time, both printers are equipped with a standard paper handling configuration of a 660-sheet input tray, while optional trays can be added for a maximum paper capability of 3,480 sheets. As an advanced option, the finisher allows the ability of not only stapling but also punching holes as well as folding.

A Variety of Security Printing Features
To prevent the leak of confidential information, both printers can encrypt print jobs. Stored print jobs, which are archived in the printer's optional hard disk drive, can be overwritten all at once. In addition, both can accommodate Fuji Xerox's “TrustMarking
Basic” software, which produces hidden characters on documents that only show up when copies are made. The following advanced features for document security are available as well:

Higher Productivity
With a more powerful print controller, which incorporates a PowerPC 603e-466MHz as its CPU and 128MB of memory, the C2424 provides better throughput than its predecessor, the DocuPrint C2425. In addition, it achieves high productivity with a color first print output time of 11 seconds or less and warm-up time of 30 seconds or less.

Same as C3540 and C3140.
Note: C2424 cannot accommodate Fuji Xerox's “TrustMarkingBasic” software.

High Quality Output
High quality color printing with true 1,200 dpi resolution is possible without sacrificing print speed. A resolution, 9600dpi-class x 600dpi, which is suitable for reproduction of photograph and light colors or halftones, is also available. The EA (Emulsion Aggregation) toner provides better halftones and shaper lines for photo priting.

In addition to three standard interfaces (Ethernet 100BASE-TX/10BASE-T, USB2.0 and Parallel), an optional Media Print Kit, which can directly print from removable media such as compact flash, is available.

Compact Size
Achieves a compact footprint (width 425 x depth 422 mm).

Higher Productivity
With a new four-cycle color laser engine, the C525 A can print color/black and white documents quickly at print speeds of up to 5/25 ppm. In addition, it achieves high productivity with a color/black and white first print output time of 17/9 seconds or less and a warm-up time of 45 seconds or less.

High Quality Output
600 dpi resolution enable high quality reproduction of light colors or halftones. The EA toner provide better halftones and shaper lines for priting photographs.
Note: The EA toner for C525 A is different from the one for C2424.

C525 A is equipped with a 200-sheet input tray as standard, while optional trays can be added for a maximum paper capability of 950 sheets.
