Fuji Xerox to Launch
DocuCentre 750 I / 650 I / 550 I

Fuji Xerox will begin sales of three new digital black and white multifunction devices, the DocuCentre 750 I / 650 I / 550 I, on January 31, 2005.

These devices minimize the time required for paper feeding thereby the maximizing speed, which was made possible through a newly developed engine. As a result, both copy machine and printer^{Note 1} speeds reach 75 ppm in duplex^{Note 2} (A4 long-edge feed).

The scanner function has been enhanced in response to the rising need to digitize paper documents. Despite being black and white multifunction devices, they are capable of color scans^{Note 1}. The automatic duplex document feeder, which can handle up to 250 sheets, is standard on all models and scans at speeds of 100 ppm in black and white and 50 ppm in color. Furthermore, with duplex black and white documents, both sides of the page can be read simultaneously to realize a high-speed scan^{Note 1} of 200 ppm.

Numerous features have also been added to increase total productivity. Users can replace the toner on-the-fly, and recovery time from the power-saving to sleep mode has been cut to approximately 10 seconds. Additionally, stapler and saddle stitch finishers can be added as options.

The machines realize a resolution of 2,400 dpi for true-to-life images, while the use of EA-HG (Emulsion Aggregation-High Grade) toner ensures top quality images with smooth gradation and sharp fine lines.

The models boast superior security service features to protect information converted to electronic format. Besides an encoding function^{Note 1} and a data erase function^{Note 1} to maintain confidentiality, encoded printing^{Note 1} prevents information leaks. Management features include a copy, print ^{Note 1} and scan^{Note 1} counter, the results of which can be printed as a report.
