| SHANGHAI, China, July 4, 2005-To further
reinforce its direct sales/maintenance services skills and
capabilities, Fuji Xerox (China) Ltd. established the Fuji
Xerox Learning and Development Center located in Shanghai.
With a blueprint to educate a total of 2,500 employees mainly
in direct sales as well as maintenance services offering 65,000
training hours for fiscal 2005, the company has invested US$1.8
million in the facility, which has a total floor space of
1,685 square meters, as well as in equipment. |
| The permanent center is the first of its
kind in the industry in China to provide comprehensive education/training
for employees. Aiming not only to enhance direct sales/services
competency but also to develop the personal talent of employees,
the education/training programs cover product and technology
knowledge, marketing, selling/presentation/negotiation skills,
maintenance services and quality, general management skills
and more, which enable salespeople to propose appropriate,
value-added solutions according to customers' business issues
and needs. |
| The Learning and Development Center houses
seven classrooms varying in three sizes, an IT laboratory
and a product training room. For this fiscal year, it plans
to offer more than 50 education/training programs including
drills as well as new manager and manager candidate programs. |

Xerox (China) Ltd. "This kind of education is also effective
in the retention of key employees." |
| In addition, the Learning and Development
Center plans to offer comprehensive training services in products,
technologies and applications for collaborative partners and
customers of the company. |
