July 22, 2005

Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. has won the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Award at the second Japan e-Learning Awards organized by the e-Learning WORLD 2005 Executive Committee and Fuji Sankei Business i.

Fuji Xerox's e-learning program aims to directly boost the competencies of the company, with a focus on creating a well-balanced education support system and appropriate learning tools.

Employees with first-hand experience working at the frontline of company operations have developed the e-learning programs at Fuji Xerox. All courses have been devised internally from real-life situations, and the system is easy to use, from course application and lectures to follow-up questionnaire. Besides honing competitive competencies and boosting management skills, various analysis systems help employees determine their own career path.

To date, Fuji Xerox has conducted Web Based Training (WBT) covering 56 courses for more than 6,000 staff. Compliance WBT, divided into three sections including product safety, was held over a three-week period, with a total of 68,000 employees receiving the training.

This 100 percent internally created e-learning system was highly evaluated for offering technical training to more than 6,000 employees and compliance training for more than 68,000 employees, as well as for its development by frontline employees. It was also evaluated for its usability and speedy offering of the courses.
