Fuji Xerox Launches Three New Models
in the ApeosPort/DocuCentre Series
Accelerates services-linkage solutions through
an enhanced
color multifunction device lineup

| Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. has newly added ApeosPort
C7550 I to its ApeosPort series, which is based on an entirely
new concept. At the same time, it will launch two new digital
color multifunction devices, the DocuCentre C7550 I (PSH and
PH), the base machine for the ApeosPort series. Sales begin
on October 7, 2005. |
| The new concept "Apeos" was announced
in November 2004. Since then, Fuji Xerox has rolled out a
number of models in the ApeosPort series, which operate as
network "gateways" to an open office environment.
The ApeosPort C7550 I and DocuCentre C7550 I are positioned
as upscale models to the ApeosPort C6550 I / C5540 I series
and DocuCentre C6550 I / C5540 I series, which are already
on the market. The new models strengthen the lineup and boast
lickety-split speeds of 50 ppm/75 ppm (color/monochrome).
The services-linkage functions of this newly added series
now provide solutions to document management issues to an
even wider range of customers. |
| The contactless IC card "FeliCa"
can be added to any of the models to enable authentication
functionalityNote. This feature helps to realize a printing
environment with enhanced confidentiality through the private
print package whereby printing is only possible once the IC
card has been swiped over the reader. Enabling authentication
in this manner saves time in device and job history management.

| New options to go on sale for these models
include a fax-related option, a function supporting continuous
large-volume output of A3 full-bleed, and a "voice assistant"
as part of efforts to realize universal design. |
