Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. has chosen soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, of England's Premier League team Manchester United, as a television commercial personality for the promotion of the company's new concept, "Intelligent Field Apeos." The new commercial featuring Ronaldo will air from January 1, 2006.

Fuji Xerox announced the new brand Apeos in November 2004, and has promoted the concept of "Intelligent Field Apeos" as a service environment that links mission-critical systems and document data in resolving the customers' management issues. Fuji Xerox began sales of the ApeosPort series from January 2005 as a product line that serves as a portal to the "Intelligent Field," and is further expanding the lineup. Within a constantly changing business environment, Fuji Xerox aims to provide new value that enhances the speed and quality of management.

Ronaldo has become a rising star of the soccer world since making his impressive debut in August 2003 with Manchester United. He has built a considerable fan base with footwork that combines both speed and technique, and is garnering attention as the next potential ace of the Portuguese team in the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.

In Fuji Xerox's upcoming commercials, the manager in the commerical, who is constantly concerned over how to improve the quality of management, will use Ronaldo, who has built a fan base based on his high-quality technique, as an analogy to express the challenges of management. These commercials will pitch the "Intelligent Field for Enhancing Management Quality" as a services environment offered by Fuji Xerox. Moreover, the channels of communication will be further broadened in association with the commercials by posting answers to the issues raised by managers in these commercials on Fuji Xerox's Japanese Web site following their airing.
