Fuji Xerox Launches ArcWizShare Information Sharing
Software
Promotes information sharing between groups and provides
an intelligent
communication environment
February 27, 2006
| Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. has developed new
software called ArcWizShare for information management and
sharing aimed at promoting effective data utilization among
users or specific groups. Sales begin on February 28, 2006. |
| ArcWizShare is Web-based information sharing
software that allows users to register, search, view and manage
electronic information such as documents and images via the
intranet or the Internet. The person registering the data
can set access privileges, while automatic notification is
sent when the document is registered or revised. |
| In addition, ArcWizShare can set information
sharing "space" for each business unit, including
specific departments or projects, for more effective data
management. Sharing information in a timely manner between
groups can create an intelligent, creative communication environment. |
| The software incorporates the core features
of Fuji Xerox's DocuShare, which was released in September
2000, and has strengthened linkage between Fuji Xerox's document
handling software DocuWorksNote 1
and enhanced security by setting more precise access privileges
when registering information. It is also possible to link
it with ApeosPortNote 2, which
is based on a multifunction device, so users can digitize,
search and output documents without a PC. |

| About DocuShare and ArcWizShare |
| DocuShare was developed by Xerox Corporation
in the United States as information sharing software for the
effective utilization of electronic data as intellectual assets.
Sales commenced in 1997, after which Fuji Xerox developed
a Japanese version, which has been continually improved. Based
on proven results and experience in the Japanese market, it
was decided to revamp the software and rename it ArcWizShare.
Fuji Xerox is aiming toward further market development by
strengthening linkage between DocuShare with the Company's
other software and products. |
