Fuji Xerox launched a 1,133 ppm* high-end
continuous sheet printer, the DocuPrint 1100 CF, which has been engineered
for mission-critical operations. The DocuPrint 1100 CF is a highly reliable
and durable high-speed LED printer, and a new addition to Fuji Xerox's cut sheet
laser printer lineup. Sales began March 26.
The DocuPrint 1100 CF realizes a high print resolution of 600 dpi, which achieve crisp, clear print of small letters, numbers, precise lines and images, without slowing down print speed. In addition, the same high print speed is maintained in duplex printing by connecting two printer mechanisms to process front- and back-side of the print separately.
* Print speed calculated by converting an 18-inch width continuous sheet printed in 86.3 meters per minute, to A4 duplex.
Mission-critical operations include services that are integral to a business, such as billing and payment. The efficiency and reliability of such services to a business, such as billing by electricity, gas, water and telephone providers, are integral to its business performance. Printers, therefore, are required to handle mass data at high speed, high reliability and high durability.
- To maximize the engine speed capability, the controller employs three
UNIX workstations. High-speed print is realized through high-speed data
management supported by Fuji Xerox's unique software as well as the gigabit
Ethernet connection of three UNIX workstations' controllers, which support
high-speed mass data transfer.
- Control panel employs GUI for user-friendly operability as well as
ease of print job management. Printer status icons and animation provide
instant printer status recognition.
- In addition to standard stock form paper, an optional roll paper
feeder can be connected to minimize print job disruption when changing
paper rolls.
- Uses Fuji Xerox laser printer EPS / LPS series' font, forms and other
resources. In addition, the machine employs LCDS (Line Conditioned Data
Stream) print data format, which is standard in mainframe printing.
