Fuji Xerox Printing Systems Co., Ltd. has developed three A3-capable desktop black & white laser printers, each equipped with a new laser engine. Shipments of the DocuPrint 205, DocuPrint 255 and DocuPrint 305 commenced simultaneously on October 1, 2003.

DocuPrint 205/255/305 print at speeds of 20.5, 25.4 and 30.6 ppm (A4 long-edge feed), respectively. The incorporation of an all-new laser engine enables a more compact design, higher speed and lower price, in comparison with previous models. Other features include True 1,200 dpi and a fast warm-up time of 18 seconds or less.

  1. Meets Various Printing Needs with a High Resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi

    2. Beautifully reproduces photos, graphs and diagrams in fine detail at a maximum resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi at normal print speed.

  2. Saves Space Through a Compact Design

    3. Decreased overall length conserves office space. The paper cassette does not protrude from the machine body when using A4 paper in the standard cassette*. Paper previously requiring manual feed in the former models can now be fed from the cassette, eliminating protrusion from the machine front.

    *When inserting A3 paper, the cassette protrudes 261mm.

  3. Fast Warm-up and Energy-Saving Design

    4. Adopts Quick Fuser technology to reduce warm-up time to 18 seconds or less at power-on and 7.6 seconds or less from Sleep Mode. Sleep Mode requires only 5.5W by supplying just enough power to the controller necessary to start the machine, thus conserving energy and lessening the environmental impact.

  4. Achieves High Paper Capacity

    5. Standard models are equipped with two trays. DocuPrint 255/305: standard paper capacity (700 sheets); up to 1,800 sheets continuous printing possible with optional tray (A3 size). DocuPrint 205: standard capacity (400 sheets); 1,500 sheets continuous with optional tray (A3 size).

  5. Accepts a Wide Variety of Paper

    6. The machines handle a wide variety of paper stock for office printing. Paper stock that previously required being manually-fed in former models can now be supplied directly from the tray. Standard, heavy, long, label and OHP-type paper from 60 to 216g/m2 can also be used, in both standard and non-standard sizes (set in increments of 1mm).

  6. Duplex-Printing, Long Prints

    7. Incorporates handy print functions. Optional unit enables duplex prints. Allows long prints *1 up to 304.8 x 900mm, such as posters.

    *1 Function depends on application type. More than 256MB of memory required.

  7. "Contents Bridge" function

    8. The printer internally processes, then prints PDF files.

  8. Supports Adobe Systems Incorporated's PostScript® 3TM

    9. PostScript® is made possible by including the optional PS software kit (Requires additional memory).

  9. Network Interface and USB Ports Allow Multi-Protocol/Client Compatibility

    10. Network connectivity: With Ethernet 100BASE-TX/10BASE-T, users can operate in a multiprotocol environment, including Windows® 95/98/Me, Windows NT® 4.0, Windows® 2000, Windows® XP, Windows ServerTM 2003, while the optional PS software kit*1 enables connection to Macintosh® via EtherTalk®. USB 1.1*2 and USB 2.0*3 ports are also included.
