| Fuji Xerox has developed two cut-sheet
laser printers for mission-critical operations that achieve
high productivity in large volume jobs. Besides the conventional
black, printing is also possible in red or blue. DocuTech
180 Highlight Color can print at a speed of 180 ppm (A4 long-edge
feed), while DocuTech 155 Highlight Color boasts a speed of
154 ppm (A4 long-edge feed). DocuTech 180 Highlight Color
is the fastest cut-sheet laser printer available on the market
with two-color print capability. Sales of the printers will
begin in July 2005. |
| The printers are compatible with the industry-standard
Page Description Language (PDL) and PostScript® 3TM (optional)
by Adobe Systems Incorporated. The highly versatile printers
can also handle a wide range of systems-from mainframes to
UNIX servers and PCs. The new highlight function enables prints
in two-color format at basically the same speed as its base
machines, the DocuPrint 180 EPS/155 EPS. |
| Compared with single-color output, this
function vastly increases the expressive power of prints that
include images, graphics or transaction data with details
of calculations used in mission-critical systems. |
| Rapid advancements in IT have made it simple
to create and send notices such as bill statements, account
history and direct mail, as well as various kinds of pamphlets.
As a result, we tend to receive a huge amount of information
almost on a daily basis. To ensure that the reader takes in
and processes the important data, it is highly effective to
highlight the relevant section in color so that it stands
out. DocuTech 180/155 Highlight Color meets this need and
therefore helps to enhance the added value of any document.
|
| Incorporates Sun Microsystems Inc.'s industry
standard controller. For maximum reliability, the latest multipurpose
components are used in the CPU and hard disk, enabling stable
high-speed printing of large data while maintaining scalability.
|
| Employs DocuSP controller software, which
has proven results in a range of products by Xerox Corporation
(USA) and Fuji Xerox. This enables the creation of up to 100
logical printersnote so print jobs
can be managed more efficiently. |
|
note
|
A logical printer is the abstract entity that
users specify to indicate where their job is to be printed
and/or what characteristics their job has. |
| In addition, the printers employ user-friendly
Graphics User Interface (GUI) that eliminates time-consuming
commands using the keyboard. Basic operations, including checks
of printing status, printing instructions as well as changing
the paper feed attributes can be handled with the mouse. |
| High-speed paper feedings to handle high-volume
jobs of up to 13,700 sheets (optional). To boost productivity
levels, it is possible to connect various finishing options
to the printers. By attaching a roll paper feeder and binder,
the printers can run unattended for long periods of time.
