Fuji Xerox Launches DocuColor 5065 P / 4055 P High-speed, high-resolution color multifunction
devices with
EA-HG toner for the graphic arts market

| Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. has developed the
DocuColor 5065 P / 4055 P digital color multifunction devices
especially for the graphic arts market and for in-house on-demand
printing. DocuColor 5065 P achieves print speeds of 50 ppm
in color and 65 ppm in monochrome, while DocuColor 4055 P
can handle 40 ppm in color and 55 ppm in monochrome (A4 long-edge
feed). Both of these devices boast high resolution, color
laser printing of True 2,400 dpiNote1.
The company has also developed a new Print Server UP / LP as
an option. Sales of all these products commence on September

| In addition to the increasing proliferation
of color multifunction devices in the general office market,
professionals in the graphic arts market, which includes design
houses, print centers and printing companies, have been calling
for higher quality and productivity. In response, Fuji Xerox,
one of the first companies in Japan to develop a color printing
system for use in desktop publishing, has worked to revolutionize
its color multifunction devices and specialized print servers
aimed at boosting image quality, performance and print speed.
By raising total productivity levels through a sequential
workflow of design, creation, proofing, print data delivery
and final output, Fuji Xerox can facilitate the users' shift
to a far more creative business environment. |
| DocuColor 5065 P / 4055 P employ EA-HG tonerNote2
to realize vivid, glossy colors by enhancing the reproducibility
of the secondary colors red, blue and green. Connection with
the Print Server UP / LP drove the attainment of both DIC standard
color and TOYO standard color certifications, marking a first
for a machine using EA toner. The continuous tone printing
capability for text and lines in 100 percent black toner enables
a resolution of 1,200 dpi for a high-definition finish. |
| The Print Server UP / LP can send large files
and scanned files already proofed over a secure network by
way of remote print, powered by GTRAXNote3. It can also send
and receive PDFs via the Internet to a printer or business
partner in remote locations. The creation of an automatic
printing and proof correction workflow helps to increase overall
efficiency. Further, the new machines meet a diverse array
of needs, from professionals in the graphic arts market to
high volume color printing in the general office market, thanks
to improved printing performance and greater paper application.
