Fuji Xerox Printing Systems Launches DocuPrint C5450
& DocuPrint CG835 II |
Fuji Xerox Printing Systems Co., Ltd. (FXPS) has newly developed two color laser printers, the DocuPrint C5450 and CG835 II. The DocuPrint C5450 is dedicated for the on-demand publishing market, while the DocuPrint CG835 II is suitable for the desk-top-publishing market. The DocuPrint C5450 and CG835 II are scheduled to be launched on March 10 and 8 respectively, in Japan.
The DocuPrint C5450 can print color documents at a speed of 40 pages per minute(ppm), with resolution of True 2,400dpi, which features are made possible by incorporating Fuji Xerox's unique VCSEL(Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser).
The DocuPrint CG835 II is A3 full-bleed capable, prints up to 8 ppm, which is positioned as successor of the DocuPrint CG835 launched in 2002. |

High Quality Input
True 2,400 dpi resolution and 256 shades of gray enable high quality reproduction of light colors or halftones without sacrificing high productivity, adopting Fuji Xerox's unique VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser).

High Speed Print
With new hybrid tandem color laser engines that incorporate Intermediate Belt Transfer and a, Free Belt Nip Fuser, the DocuPrint C5450 can print color/black and white documents at high speeds of up to 40/55ppm, and a first color print output time of 11.8
seconds or less.

High Paper Capacity
The DocuPrint C5450 is equipped with a 3,630-sheet input tray as standard, while optional trays can be added for a maximum paper capability of 5,930 sheets. As an advanced option, the finisher provides the ability to not only staple but also punch holes
as well as folding.

Paper Handling
The DocuPrint C5450 can handle a wide range of paper thickness up to 280g/m2,
accept multiple paper stock, including postcards, thick paper, as well as name cards.

ART EX as the standard page description language, while Adobe® PostScript® 3™ is optionally available.

The DocuPrint CG835 II helps eliminate errors before the file is sent to the print process through its warning system, highlighting overprint areas, alerting the user if the image data is in RGB, rather than CMYK, which is necessary for printing, and indicating where lines are too thin to show up in printing.
