TOKYO, January 9, 2008 – Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. has developed the DocuColor 1257 GA, a high-image-quality full color copy machine/network printerNote 1 boasting high resolution of 2,400dpi that achieves print speeds of 12.5 ppm in color and 50 ppm in monochrome (A4 long-edge feed). Sales begin on January 22 together with the Print Server U/L. |

The DocuColor 1257 GA meets advanced customer needs in the graphic arts market, where image quality is paramount, particularly to proof the final appearance and color before printing. In addition to the high resolution of 2,400dpi, which ensures color reproducibility, the incorporation of a new image-enhancing technology generates even smoother, more beautiful gradations and halftones as well as improves reproducibility of fine lines. Further, to increase customer convenience, the machine has been equipped with a paper tray for special A3-size sheetsNote 2, which are frequently used for pre-print proof. |

The Print Server U/L have realized attractive, true-to-life photo prints incorporating a new algorithm to recognize and optimize skin tones for automatic compensation. Together with numerous other functions such as color management, checking as well as network capabilities for use in various workflows, the servers support graphic arts customers’ business. |
