TOKYO, December 1, 2009 – Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. will release the Nuvera 288 EA Perfecting Production System, the top-end model in its monochrome production systems, on Dec. 15, 2009. |

Monochrome digital publishing is mainly employed for the printing of corporate reports, conference minutes, specifications, manuals and other high-volume documents that require book binding. For this reason, it requires higher resolution print quality, faster printing to realize higher productivity, and the full finishing functions including book binding. |

Due to incorporation of a tandem engine, the Nuvera 288 EA Perfecting Production System boasts the fastest printing speed--288 pages per minuteNote 1--among Fuji Xerox’s monochrome cut-sheet production systems. Connectivity with the company’s FreeFlow Digital Workflow Collection software that boosts workflow efficiency in the printing process enables users to easily build a flexible workflow including pre-press imposition and pagination. In addition to the conventional finishing including stapling and tape binding, optional Duplo DBM5001Note 2 in-line booklet maker is available from wide selection of module configuration. By seamlessly connecting the pre-press and finishing processes, the Nuvera 288 EA Perfecting Production System raises the productivity of the entire printing workflow and boosts efficiency. |

EA toner enables high print quality and high resolution |

The Emulsion Aggregation (EA) fine particle toner creates matte-finish output that is comparable to offset-level quality, because the toner can be evenly fixed by heat and creates extremely thin layer due to its smooth surface and uniform shape. Together with high print resolution equivalent to 4800 x 600 dpi, the system delivers high-caliber monochrome publishing. |
