Security - Administrator Settings
This page allows you to configure the administrator security settings.
If you want to permit only the administrator to change settings on CentreWare Internet Services, select [Enabled]. If you want to permit all users to change settings, select [Disabled]. The default is [Enabled].
When this is set to [Enabled], you will be prompted to enter the administrator ID and password when changing settings.
Administrator Login ID
Enter the administrator name using alphanumeric characters up to 8 bytes. You can use both alphanumeric characters and symbols.
[Administrator Login ID] that has already been set will not be displayed on the window.
The original setting will remain valid if no entry is made.
Enter the password of the administrator of CentreWare Internet Services.
The password is displayed in 4 asterisks (*), regardless of whether it has already been set or not.
To enter a password, delete all the asterisks and then enter the password within 10 bytes using alphanumeric characters and symbols.
If the text box is left blank, the original setting will remain valid.
The circles (●) may be displayed instead of asterisks (*).
Re-enter the password entered in [Administrator Password] for confirmation.
Maximum Login Attempts
For the information about the default [Administrator Login ID] and [Administrator Password], refer to the "DocuPrint CP205/CP205 w User Guide".
When authenticating with the administrator, set the number of consecutive erroneous entries of the password allowed.
Set the number of consecutive failures of authentication allowed as 0 or from 5 to 255.
Setting to 0 does not limit the times of consecutive erroneous entries of the password.
When you use CentreWare Internet Services, be sure to change the default password.
You can change the administrator name and password at [Properties] > [Security] > [Administrator Settings].
